As well as performing as a soloist and in group dances with the Tarab Dance Company (see forthcoming show dates on diary page), I dance solo performances at many dance events throughout the UK and often perform with my students at local events in the North West. From a unique opportunity to dance with Tarab members at the Algiers Hilton on New Years Eve to avoiding cow pats at the Longridge Agricultural Show all performance is vital in communicating dance with an audience. |

Perhaps my most enjoyable and privileged experience was dancing solo with the Feret el Negoum band and singer and band leader Sa’fa Farid at the recent Farha festival in Newcastle. The feeling a solo dancer gets when performing to live music is unlike anything else. It was sublime. I love teaching performance skills and my recent ‘flirt’ with burlesque dance has widened my knowledge of communicating with an audience and enhanced the fun side of my dance.
