One area of particular interest to me is the history and culture of Middle Eastern dance and Egyptian dance in particular.   I really enjoy researching and writing articles for both NADA and Mosaic magazines and use the knowledge to offer a wider view of the dance to my students. 

I also use my knowledge of the dance to give talks and demonstrations to a variety of groups including WIs, ladies luncheon clubs, hen parties, Make a Wish, the Guides etc.  My standard 1 hour talks include a brief insight into the history and culture of the dance, demonstrations of folkloric, baladi and oriental dance styles with props, a ‘taster’ session for members of the audience and the showing of different dance costumes.  I can also offer tailor made talks/demonstrations to suit specific requirements, eg a demonstration and short workshop or a longer talk with a dvd presentation.
